nDash Platform Updates: New Profiles for Freelance Writers, Google Analytics Integration for Brands

Here’s what’s new on the nDash content creation platform for freelance writers and brands.

Profiles for Freelance Writers Redesigned

Earlier this year, Contently (just before its acquisition) announced that it would delete and de-index thousands of freelance writer profiles. The decision was met with some frustration in writer circles, as Contently had become the de-facto portfolio for many freelance writers. Since many nDash users were also affected  — having profiles on both sites — we decided to spend a couple of sprints drastically overhauling the visual layout of our own writer profiles.

Here’s where we landed:

Redesigned profiles for freelance writers.

In addition to the portfolio showcase of Contently, profiles on nDash now provide much more information a prospective client would seek. That includes rates, topics, past work experience, social profiles, client reviews and more.

And as a reminder, nDash instructs Google and other search engines to crawl every verified profiles for all freelance writers. That effort helps new clients find your work.

We’re excited to continue improving the freelance writer experience, so if you have some suggestion on what we could build next, please let us know!

Google Analytics Integration

On the brand side, we launched a new integration with Google Analytics, which displays organic traffic stats on your nDash start screen.

This feature is a precursor to several new analytics-themed launches over the next year. These launches are designed to help marketers narrow in on what’s working and identify new content opportunities. They also help translate this information into content briefs for freelance writers.
