While the content world continues to obsess over AI, we here at nDash continue our obsession with HI-powered content (i.e., human intelligence) and launching features to support them. Here’s a quick list of small-ish features and product updates to the nDash platform this month.
New Features & Product Updates for Brands
Ability to Re-assign
Let’s say you’ve sent an assignment to one of your favorite writers — and they decline (oh, the horror!). In the past, you’d have to cancel the assignment, clone it, and send it to another writer. Kind of a pain, right? Well, now, if this happens, you can simply re-assign the same project, sending it to other freelance favorites or as an open assignment.
Updated Billing Reports (CSV & subscription payments)
This one’s for all the finance people who wanted a way to easier sort content spend by group. You’ll now have the option to download your billing report as a CSV or as a PDF. Note: the PDF billing report has also been updated to categorize spend by group.
You’ll also notice that the billing reports now show subscription payments even if there was no content spend in a month (this was a bug fix).
Pop Culture Category
As our customer base grows, so too does the need for specialized writers. Specifically, it was becoming more apparent of late that Pop Culture needed its own community, as opposed to being lumped into Lifestyle. The next time you log into nDash, you’ll now see a new community devoted entirely to Poop Culture, so if you need writers with knowledge of sports, entrainment, gaming, or something similar, you’ll know where to look.
Note: this category is actively being built (just launched this morning), so don’t be shy about the (relatively) low number of writers.
Product Updates for Freelance Writers
Pop Culture Category
This new feature crosses boxes for both brands and writers. So if you’re a freelance writer looking to make a name (and money) for yourself in this space, be sure to update your writer profile and apply to join the pop culture community here: What are Communities?
Filtering Brands by Payment Method
We do our best to match writers with relevant brands, but of course, some brands are more relevant than others. Specifically, brands with a credit card added that are obviously more likely to accept a pitch or send you an assignment.
The next time you’re browsing potential clients, you’ll see a new default feature applied to help you focus on brands a bit further down the funnel.
Zip Code on Writer Profile
This past year, we’ve gotten a lot of requests for writers in specific regions of the country (United States). We’re working on a more advanced writer search. But as a precursor to this, we now give writers the ability to add their zip code to their profile. Here’s what that looks like:
